Why we do what we do.

In the earliest days of the Gluten Free Epicurean, when I was making and selling our gluten-free goodies by myself, a young boy and his mum walked up to my display. He eyed the spread of treats with an eagerness you'd expect of a 4 or 5 year-old but then, heartbreakingly, looked up to his mum with a sad look of resignation. He was expecting a well rehearsed "I'm sorry hun, that will make you sick." This time though, his mum was beaming... "You can have anything you want!" she said. The look on that kids face at that moment is why me and my team get out of bed every day. We hope our treats bring you some of that little guys joy too.
